Easter is fast approaching, ad seeing all the cute pastel decorations everywhere makes me warm and fuzzy. However, I’ve been starting to wonder when did Easter become all about bunnies, chocolates, and egg hunts? When did Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and other holidays become so commercialized that we forget what they are really about? Have these holidays become an excuse to sell gifts, decorations and greeting cards, and also to have an extra day off for everyone?
Maybe I just need to stop thinking and enjoy the customs. Apparently it’s a tradition in Norway to watch murder mysteries for Easter; now that’s something I can relate to!
Happy egg painting and hunting everyone!
