Time is a very tricky thing. When you need it there never seem to be enough of it, yet when you want it to go by faster, it always seem to stall. I guess that’s all part of relativity and how we manage our time.
A week has already gone by since the coming of 2012, yet I don’t feel that much of a difference from last year, or the year before. It’s as if time became a big blur, and I’m floating through it. I do my best to live in the moment, instead of trying to chase back the past or hop into the future. Time has become relative to my current mindset.
Work has become more and more interesting, with lots of new larger scale projects on the way. One example is utilizing the mapping software to achieve accurate billing on sewer taxes, which we also hope to extend to street lights and other taxes. Furthermore, our new online dog tag registration system is also live and running, making it easier for residents to keep track of their furry friends, and having a live database to search for lost dogs on the spot.
As for LSS, she’s very excited about the new cat grass we planted for her, which is basically wheat grass. We are a little bit concerned about her weight as her belly is getting chubbier than when she first came to us. We will have to work on feeding her healthier food on time everyday, and keeping an exercise routine for her. I’m contemplating on getting another kitten so that she has someone to play with, and thus exercising and won’t be so lonely at home.
My yoga class at Sol Yoga has been moved to Thursdays at 6:30 – 7:30pm, hoping the earlier time will attract more students and be better for everyone. I’m also excited that Ashley is giving an Yin Yoga class at 5:15pm so I can take it right before I teach. It was so soothing and relaxing that I was a bit zoned out afterwards, but definitely great to have someone lead the class rather than me practicing all alone at home!
Today was super sunny for a change, so we went for a walk outside and checked out new mattresses. We will be getting a new one in the upcoming weeks, which is such a nice change to our current foam mattress that’s not quite doing the job.
All in all, life’s good under the sun.
