Living with a partner has a plus side, that is you can share everything from your books to beauty products. David is starting to enjoy using my shampoo, and I fell in love with his face scrub!
Not that I don’t have any exfoliators, I have used many different kinds from Biotherm to Clinique, Origins to Estee Lauder, but this one has taken me by surprise.
St. Ives Apricot Scrub
~ $6 + tax
Yes, it’s only $6 at your local drug store, and probably even cheaper when it’s on sale. When I first squeezed it out of the tube, the texture looked very rough and the particles are a lot bigger than what I normally used. But when I slathered it on and did a little bit of rubbing, not only did it not hurt, it felt amazingly great! The smell is natural and welcoming, and after I rinsed it out with water, my face felt so smooth that I couldn’t believe it! It didn’t dry out my skin out or cause any irritations. It’s gentle enough that you can even use it on your lips. Just remember to hydrate after use.
I now use it every other day, and to prep my skin before facial. After digging a bit they actually have other scrubs with great reviews, including a blemish and black head control one that I will surely try after one.
Remember that exfoliators are essential to your beauty routine, helping skin cells turn over by removing the dead skins on top. But don’t over do it or you might end up damaging your face!
