June 19th is Father’s Day, a time to remember and appreciate our fathers. Fatherly love is very different from that of a Mother, and it’s mostly expressed by actions, less by words. Fathers can be tough, stern, and quiet, yet they can also be funny, warm, and kind. I think it’s because there’s always a big kid inside every Dad, never wanting to grow up (think Peter Pan but without the tights). It’s a nice feeling to know that no matter what happens, your father will always be there for you, offering you a strong and supportive backbone.
On another note, it is also car free day this Sunday, and I will be teaching free mini yoga classes at Open Door Yoga on 1111 Commercial Drive from 12-4pm.
Hope to see you all there!
